Domestic Dispute in Jamestown Leads to Charges


(WNY News Now) – A domestic dispute on the North Side of Jamestown resulted in the arrest of 22-year-old resident who now faces charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Grand Larceny 4th.

Jamestown – On the afternoon of September 9, 2023, at approximately 3 pm, officers from the second platoon responded to a call regarding a domestic incident in Jamestown. Upon investigation, it was alleged that Ronald J. Maund, 22, had forcefully taken a cellphone from the victim’s hands, triggering a physical struggle during which a 2-year-old child was inadvertently struck by the phone.

Maund was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Grand Larceny 4th. Currently, he is being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending his arraignment.


Thankfully, the 2-year-old child involved in the incident did not sustain any injuries.
