Guest at Doubletree Hotel Faces Criminal Mischief Charges

(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man was arrested early this morning at the Doubletree Hotel for alleged criminal mischief, following an incident in which he damaged hotel property. 

Jamestown – On September 9th, 2023, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call at the Doubletree Hotel, located at 150 W. 4th St. Hotel staff had requested assistance in removing a disorderly guest from the premises. Upon arrival, officers identified the individual as Stephen C. Baumann, 46, of Jamestown.

Further investigation revealed that Baumann had caused damage to property within his hotel room. Without incident, Baumann was taken into custody and subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He now faces a charge of Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree.


Baumann was released with an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. The hotel has not disclosed the extent of the property damage at this time.
