(WNY News Now) – An accident at the intersection of Route 5 and 20 in Hanover, New York, resulted in one person being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. One man faces charges for failing to yield the right of way.

Hanover – On September 8, 2023, at 10:30 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 5 and 20 and Erie Street in the Town of Hanover. The incident led to one person being transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Following a thorough investigation, Charles Gannon, a 71-year-old male from Anderson, Indiana, was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Gannon is slated to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
