JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (WNY NEWS NOW) – A 2x gold medalist from the USA Paralympian team, Trevon Jenifer, spoke at the Northwest Arena to local school students Monday afternoon.

Nearly 2,500 students from Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties visited the arena in two separate sessions to hear and witness a motivational message from Trevon Jenifer about having adversity in life and overcoming that adversity to follow your dreams.

He was joined by his friend and teammate Harsh Thakkar, who is also part of the USA Paralympian team. He himself has also faced many obstacles in life.

The two talked about their life challenges, overcoming them, and they took several questions from students in the audience.

They also did some mini basketball games for the students.

The special event was made possible in a colleberation between Collaborative Children’s Solutions and the Northwest Arena.
