
WNY News Now – Since 2022, law enforcement has been investigating drug trafficking activities of the suspect in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties, along with Warren, PA.
During the investigation, 23-year-old Andre Richards was charged with several felonies involving the possession and distribution of large quantities of meth and fentanyl as well as criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
Despite these pending felony charges, Richards continued to operate a significant drug trafficking organization. Richards had been utilizing a North Main Street residence in Russell, PA as well as a South Work Street residence in Falconer, NY.
Back in March of this year, authorities conducted surveillance of Richards driving around Jamestown, NY and observed him in activity related to drug dealing, including a hand-to-hand exchange.
Search warrants were also executed on his vehicle and the residence in Falconer. During the searches, authorities recovered approximately 84 grams of crystal methamphetamine, approximately $6,600, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia. During a search of the Russell residence, around 20 pounds of crystal meth was seized.
Richards is being charged by criminal complaint with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. This charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $10,000,000 fine.
