(WNY News Now) – A coalition of 25 Republican Governors, led by Montana’s Governor Greg Gianforte, has sent a letter to President Joe Biden, expressing concern over the impact of the Southern border crisis on their states.
Washington D.C. – In the letter addressed to President Biden, Governor Greg Gianforte and his fellow Republican counterparts from Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming are calling for immediate access to accurate and comprehensive data regarding illegal border crossings.
The Governors seek detailed information on the identities and destinations of those crossing the border illegally, as well as insights into the federal government’s handling of asylum applications and deportation processes.
This move underscores the growing bipartisan concern over border security and immigration policies in the United States. The Biden Administration has yet to respond to the request.
