JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (WNY NEWS NOW) – Dry weather will remain in place for Thursday and Friday. The quiet weather looks to continue into the weekend and even into next week.
With high pressure in control, mainly dry weather is expected to close out the week and into the weekend. A good amount of sunshine is expected each day with just some passing clouds from time to time.
Highs on Thursday and Friday will range from the upper 60’s to the lower to mid 70’s.
Overnight periods for Thursday and Friday will generally be partly to mainly clear with lows in the 40’s inland to the 50’s near Lake Erie. Valley fog will continue to be possible each night.
A storm system will move up the East coast Sunday and into Sunday night. The latest model runs keeps this system away from Western New York. The only impact for us will be additional cloud cover with a slight chance for a few light showers across the Southern Tier and Eastern portions of the area. However, as more data comes in, the forecast could change between now and Sunday.
Outside of this little blimp in the forecast, dry weather looks to remain through at least the middle of next week.
Temperatures during this period will generally be in the lower 70’s.
