
(WNY News Now) – Two local men were apprehended by Jamestown police officers during a routine traffic stop, leading to drug-related charges.
Jamestown – In the early hours of September 22, 2023, at approximately 2:13 am, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd platoon conducted a routine traffic stop in Brooklyn Square. Inside the vehicle, they identified two passengers, Ryan D. Edwards of Frewsburg and Courtney M. Ziegler of Jamestown.
Upon further investigation, officers allegedly discovered a quantity of Methamphetamine and two digital scales within the vehicle. Both Edwards and Ziegler were taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to the city jail.
They have each been charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.
As of now, both individuals remain held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
