JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (WNY NEWS NOW) – High pressure will maintain mainly dry weather through most of the week. A few scattered showers will be possible Thursday and Friday as a weak trough passes the region.

Mostly cloudy skies will be found across the Southern Tier through Tuesday afternoon with more sunshine found the further North you go. Highs will average out in the mid to upper 60’s.

Mainly dry weather is expected on Wednesday with partly sunny skies. Highs once again in the mid to upper 60’s.

High pressure will continue to keep dry weather across most of the area for the end of the week.

The only exception to this will be a rather weak system crossing the area later on Thursday and into Friday. A few scattered showers will be possible during this time, focused mainly across the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania.

After that, it looks like a mainly dry and sunny weekend is in store with temperatures reaching the low to mid 70’s.
