(WNY News Now) – A 36-year-old male from Jamestown, was arrested on September 27, 2023, on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, while also facing an active felony arrest warrant from the Jamestown Police Department.
Jamestown – On the evening of September 27, 2023, at approximately 5:44 pm, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd platoon encountered Andrew P. Cooper walking in the downtown area. Subsequent inquiries revealed that Cooper was the subject of an active felony arrest warrant.
Law enforcement officers promptly took Cooper into custody, transporting him to the Jamestown City jail. During the inventory of Cooper’s personal belongings at the jail, officers allegedly discovered Tramadol Hydrochloride, a controlled substance, in his backpack. Consequently, Cooper faces an additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree in addition to the felony warrants.
Currently, Andrew P. Cooper remains in custody, awaiting arraignment in the Jamestown City jail.
