
(WNY News Now) – The Cattaraugus County Legislature is set to convene in an adjourned session on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, to deliberate on several important resolutions, including contracts related to HVAC maintenance, law enforcement software, janitorial services, healthcare equipment, and staffing coverage.
Little Valley, New York – The Cattaraugus County Legislature will hold an adjourned session at the Legislative Chambers, 303 Court Street, Little Valley, New York, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, starting at 5:00 p.m. The agenda for the meeting includes discussions and decisions on critical resolutions affecting various county departments.
The Contingent Fund Balance currently stands at $147,160, setting the financial context for the deliberations.
The meeting will commence with the standard protocols, including the call to order, roll call, invocation, and the pledge of allegiance. Communications and the privilege of the floor will follow these procedures. A notable presentation by the S.P.C.A is scheduled.
Of particular interest are the resolutions ready for action:
Resolution 416-23: To authorize the Chair to execute a contract with U & S Services, LLC for HVAC control system maintenance and fire alarm inspection. This pertains to the Department of Buildings & Grounds and has received approval from 6 members of the Finance committee and 5 from the Public Works committee.
Resolution 417-23: To authorize the Chair to execute a contract with Timekeeping Systems, Inc. for Sheriff’s Office Rounds Tracker software and equipment and adjust various appropriation accounts. This concerns the Sheriff’s Office and has gained approval from 6 members of the Finance committee and 4 from the County Operations/Public Safety committee.
Resolution 418-23: To authorize the Chair to execute an amended contract with New York State Industries for the Disabled for janitorial services at Delevan Department of Motor Vehicles offices. This has been approved by 6 members of the Finance committee, 4 from County Operations/Public Safety, and 5 from Public Works.
Resolution 419-23: To authorize the Chair to execute a contract with ARJO, Inc. for the purchase and installation of bathing tubs in the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centers and adjust various appropriation accounts. This concerns the Department of Nursing Homes and has received approval from 6 members of the Finance committee and 5 from Human Services.
Resolution 420-23: To authorize the Chair to execute a contract with RTG Medical for healthcare staffing coverage for the Department of Nursing Homes. This has gained approval from 6 members of the Finance committee and 5 from Human Services.
Resolution 421-23: To authorize the Chair to execute a contract with Lisa Traina FNP-C for contingent medical director services at the Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center-Olean Campus. This has been approved by 6 members of the Finance committee and 5 from Human Services.
