(WNY News Now) – A 44-year-old female inmate at Chautauqua County Jail, faces charges of Assault 2nd Degree after allegedly assaulting a correction officer.
Mayville – On 10/4/23, Christal Pollard, 44, currently incarcerated at Chautauqua County Jail in Mayville was charged with Assault 2nd Degree following an incident within the facility.
It is reported that Pollard, who was already detained on unrelated charges, allegedly assaulted a correction officer by physically attacking them, resulting in facial injuries. Fortunately, the injured officer is expected to make a full recovery.
Pollard has been arraigned on this new charge and is now facing additional bail in addition to her existing bail for previous charges.
