Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Apprehends Larceny Suspect

(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Ripley, NY, man on October 8th, 2023, for alleged larceny after responding to a disorderly subject report on Rt. 5 in the Town of Sheridan.

Sheridan – On the night of October 8th, 2023, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies swiftly responded to a disturbance call on Rt. 5 in the Town of Sheridan, where a disorderly subject was reportedly seen taking items without permission. The suspect, later identified as Jordan D. Pound, a 32-year-old male from Ripley, NY, had left the scene before deputies arrived.


Following a brief search, Pound was located nearby and taken into custody. Subsequent investigation revealed allegations of Petty Larceny, with Pound accused of taking items that did not belong to him. Deputies promptly returned the stolen items to their rightful owner.

Further inquiry uncovered an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Pound in the Town of Harmony for Burglary 3rd. Pound was subsequently transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing and later to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
