(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County Jail Intelligence Unit’s investigation results in arrests as one local woman and an inmate are charged with conspiracy to introduce narcotics into the facility.

Mayville – In a recent development at Chautauqua County Jail, an investigation by the jail’s Intelligence Unit uncovered a conspiracy involving Jena S. Blocker, a 36-year-old female, and inmate Brent A. Robbins, a 30-year-old male. The investigation revealed their plan to introduce narcotics into the jail facility.

On September 21st, during a routine pre-visit security screening, Blocker was found in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and was subsequently released pending further investigation. On September 29th, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Blocker in the City of Jamestown. She was arraigned on charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st degree, and Conspiracy in the 5th degree.

Brent Robbins was separately arraigned on a charge of Conspiracy in the 5th degree. The case now awaits proceedings in Chautauqua Town Court.
