JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (WNY NEWS NOW) – High pressure will reside over the Northeast for much of the week. Mainly dry weather is expected with some warmer temperatures.
After a chilly start to Monday where overnight lows dropped into the upper 20’s and lower 30’s, Monday afternoon will feature partly to mostly sunny skies. Afternoon highs will reach the lower 50’s.
Overnight lows Monday night will be a bit warmer than Sunday with lows in the mid 30’s to lower 40’s.
Dry weather remains for Tuesday and Wednesday although with more clouds to contend with. Warmer air filters into the region leading to daily highs in the 60’s, if not some areas of lower 70’s.
A few isolated showers can not be ruled out Wednesday night as a weak system passes by the region. Even then, rain chances are only 20-30%.
Otherwise, mainly dry weather continues for the end of the week although with a good amount of cloud cover.
Temperatures will remain in the 60’s for Thursday and Friday.
A cold front is projected to cross the region sometime late Friday and into Saturday. This will bring a return of more unsettled and cooler weather for the weekend.
