(WNY News Now) – A 43-year-old male, faces multiple charges, including Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, Petit Larceny, and Resisting Arrest, following a domestic dispute that turned violent in Jamestown.

Jamestown – In the early hours of October 30, 2023, at around 1:50 A.M., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s third platoon responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute at a residence. Upon arrival, law enforcement was informed that Jared G. Leroy had been involved in an altercation, during which he allegedly took another person’s phone, subsequently breaking it and stealing the phone’s battery.

Leroy, who was in close proximity to the scene, was located by the responding officers. During the process of taking him into custody, he actively resisted arrest, further complicating the situation. The officers managed to subdue Leroy, and he was subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he is being held, pending arraignment.

Jared G. Leroy now faces a series of charges in connection with the incident, including Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree for the damage caused to the phone, Petit Larceny for the alleged theft of the phone’s battery, and Resisting Arrest for his resistance to the police officers’ efforts to detain him.
