
(WNY News Now) – In a late-night incident on October 29, 2023, a 28-year-old local woman was arrested after crashing her vehicle into a utility pole in Jamestown, New York. She now faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving While Intoxicated per se, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, and multiple traffic citations.
Jamestown – On the evening of October 29, at approximately 8:19 pm, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of W. 5th St and Fairmount Ave. The collision involved a vehicle striking a utility pole. Upon their arrival, officers identified Kimberly D. Carare as the sole occupant and operator of the vehicle.
Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement officers determined that Carare had allegedly been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with her blood alcohol content surpassing the legal limit. Additionally, it was discovered that Carare had been driving with a suspended license, a result of a prior DWI arrest in September.
In light of these findings, Kimberly D. Carare was taken into custody without resistance and subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She now faces several charges, including Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated per se, and the serious charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, which is classified as a felony.
Kimberly D. Carare remains in custody at the Jamestown City Jail while awaiting arraignment in the Jamestown City Court.
