
(WNY News Now) – A 45-year-old resident of Westfield, has been sentenced to six years in state prison, along with two years of post-release supervision. The sentencing was imposed by Judge David Foley following Conway’s guilty plea to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a Class B felony, on August 28, 2023.
Mayville – In a recent legal development, Shawn Conway, 45, from Westfield has been handed a six-year state prison sentence, accompanied by two years of post-release supervision. Judge David Foley delivered this judgment in response to Conway’s admission of guilt for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, categorized as a Class B felony. This plea was entered on August 28, 2023.
The legal proceedings against Conway began on October 1, 2021, when the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the Town of Mina. This operation led to Conway’s arrest on several drug-related charges. It’s noteworthy that Mr. Conway was already serving a sentence of 10-15 years in state prison, a penalty incurred in April 2023 for a previous drug-related conviction. Importantly, this newly imposed six-year sentence will run concurrently with the prior conviction.
