(WNY News Now) – A 23-year-old Jamestown resident is held pending arraignment on charges of Grand Larceny (4 counts) and Petit Larceny after allegedly stealing a wallet from a Dollar General on W 3rd St.
Jamestown – On the evening of November 9, 2023 at 6:35 PM, Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to an ongoing larceny at the Dollar General located on W 3rd St. The incident involved the theft of a wallet at the self-checkout, prompting an immediate investigation.
Upon examination, it was alleged that William Gardner, a 23-year-old Jamestown resident, had taken a customer’s wallet from the self-checkout counter. The wallet, crucially containing multiple credit cards, led to Gardner facing charges of 1 count of Petit Larceny and 4 counts of Grand Larceny.
Following his apprehension, Gardner was transported without incident to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
