(WNY News Now) – A 39-year-old Jamestown resident, was arrested on November 11, 2023 at 9:40 pm by the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit following a routine traffic stop on Chambers Street.
Jamestown – In a late-night encounter on November 11th, 2023, Jamestown Police Officers from the Violent Crime Unit conducted a traffic stop on Chambers St due to observed infractions. The driver, identified as Alisha M. Crouse, was allegedly found to be operating a vehicle with switched plates, no insurance, and without proper registration.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Crouse was driving with a revoked license. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of methamphetamine in her possession. Consequently, Crouse faced a litany of charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Improper Plates, and Operating without Insurance, as well as having an Unsafe Tire.
Alisha M. Crouse was promptly arrested at the scene and transported to Jamestown City Jail. She was later released with an appearance ticket.
