Wind Advisory for Residents in Wyoming and Cattaraugus


(WNY News Now) – The National Weather Service (NWS) Buffalo NY has issued a Wind Advisory for Wyoming and Cattaraugus counties from 11 AM to 11 PM EST on November 21, warning of strong southeast winds ranging from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

Anticipated are southeast winds ranging between 25 to 35 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 50 mph, particularly on ridgetops and near north-facing slopes.

The advisory cautions residents about potential impacts, including the possibility of unsecured objects being blown around and tree limbs being brought down by the gusty winds. Isolated power outages are also within the realm of possibility.


As a safety measure, the NWS advises extra caution when driving, especially for those operating high-profile vehicles. Additionally, residents are urged to secure outdoor objects to prevent them from becoming projectiles in the strong winds.
