(WNY News Now) – On November 20, 2023, at about 9:00 AM, officers of the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon responded to a west side address for a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation, it was alleged that an 18-year-old Jamestown resident, struck and slammed the pregnant victim on the ground.

Jamestown – Raymond M. Medina allegedly also choked the victim to the point of near-unconsciousness during the domestic dispute. After the altercation, Medina left the scene in the victim’s vehicle without having permission to drive it. Officers were able to locate Medina at a nearby address shortly thereafter, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Medina was subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was charged with Assault 3rd, Strangulation 2nd (Violent Felony), Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, and two counts of Petit Larceny. Medina is currently being held pending arraignment for Jamestown City Court.
