WNY NEWS NOW – The first lake effect snow event of the season looks to be on tap for next week. Several inches of snow are expected across the Western Southern Tier and Northwestern Pennsylvania.

With the region under the influence of a colder air mass, the Lake Effect Snow machine will crank up later Monday and into Tuesday.

Lake effect bands look to focus on Southern Erie, Chautauqua, and portions of Cattaraugus counties in New York as well as Erie, Crawford, and Warren counties in Pennsylvania.

It is these areas that are projected to see snowfall totals of 6-12 inches of snow with localized higher amounts possible.

These projected amounts have lead to the National Weather Service issuing a Winter Storm Watch for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, and Southern Erie counties in New York as well as Erie, Crawford, and Warren counties in Pennsylvania.

Lake Effect Snow will likely continue into the middle and the end of next week but will gradually weaken overtime as drier air and warmer temperatures return later in the week.

If you haven’t already, now would be the time to prepare a winter weather safety kit for both your home and car.

  1. You actually make it appear really easy along with your presentation however I find this topic to be really one thing that I believe I might never understand.
It sort of feels too complex and very broad for me. I’m taking a look forward in your
subsequent put up, I’ll attempt to get the hang of
    it!

  2. Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so
I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any tips and hints for rookie blog
    writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
