DWI Arrest in Town of Sheridan

(WNY News Now) – An 18-year-old male from the Town of Sheridan was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in the early hours of November 24th, 2023, after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle on S. Roberts Rd.

Sheridan – Deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene at approximately 03:58 AM, where they discovered a pickup truck halted in the middle of S. Roberts Rd. The driver, identified as the aforementioned 18-year-old male, was found slumped over in the driver’s seat. Subsequent investigation suggested that the young man had been operating the vehicle under the influence.

Following the arrest, the individual was taken to the Hanover Substation for processing. He now faces charges of DWI and has been released with multiple traffic citations. The 18-year-old is expected to appear in the Town of Sheridan Court at a later date to address the charges.
