(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. – On December 4, 2023 a 36-year-old homeless individual was apprehended by Jamestown Police after breaking into J-1 Auto on Winsor St. 

At around 11:37 pm, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to an alarm at J-1 Auto. Upon arrival, they discovered a shattered window and found Walters inside. Despite repeated commands to exit, Walters refused, prompting the request for a key holder. Subsequently, officers entered the premises and peacefully took Walters into custody.

Chad E. Walters now faces charges of Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, and Possession of Burglar’s Tools. Currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court, Walters was transported to the city jail without further incident.
