(WNY News Now) – East Aurora, NY – East Aurora, NY—Tickets are on sale now for the Friends of Knox Farm State Park EAclipse Celebration on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the historic stables area in Knox Farm State Park, East Aurora, NY. The significance of this phenomenal astronomical event was summed up by Astronomy magazine: “Everyone who sees a total solar eclipse remembers it forever.”* Tickets are $15 each and children under the age of seven are free.

The EAclipse offers the Western New York community a unique opportunity to experience the awe and wonder of a total solar eclipse within the path of totality in the beautiful setting of Knox Farm State Park. Ticketholders will enjoy a community watch party with live streaming throughout the event from the path of totality, viewing glasses for ticket holders, free parking, fun family programming, live music, food and beverage vendors, and EAclipse merchandise.

Dave Norton, EAclipse event co-chair and member of the Friends of Knox Farm State Park Board of Directors said, “We have been actively preparing for this once-in-a-lifetime event at Knox Farm since April 2023. With over 25 fun and educational activities planned in and around the stables, we are excited to share this extraordinary experience with the community and we’re deeply grateful to our generous sponsors for their support.”

The EAclipse programming activities will include rocket build and launch demonstrations by local rocket clubs, wildlife encounters with Hawk Creek Wildlife Rehab, UV-sensitive bead making with the Town of Aurora Recreation Department, Yoga with Shine Yoga, robotics demonstrations with Rust Belt Robotics, 3D printing pinhole viewers with Buffalo Academy of Science Charter Schools, reading rooms with East Aurora Library and Park School, bee keeping with Masterson’s Garden Center, “eclipse effect on wildlife” with The Buffalo Zoo, “colors of our sky” with Buffalo State University, and much more.

An event like this would not be possible without the support of grant organizations and corporate sponsors. It is because of this exceptional support that the Friends are able to keep ticket prices low and offer so many enriching eclipse activities. This is a ticketed event in a designated area of the park.
Parking is free for ticketholders in a designated lot at 171 Knox Rd. East Aurora, NY 14052.
The event will take place regardless of weather. There will be numerous indoor activities
throughout the event plus an event tent for enjoying food and beverages.
Tickets are non-refundable. Ticket purchase supports improvements throughout the park.
