(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is facing charges of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and Fugitive from Justice following the recovery of a reported stolen vehicle on Broadhead Avenue.
Jamestown Police apprehended Trajan M. Wofford, a 25-year-old male from Jamestown, NY, on charges of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and as a Fugitive from Justice. The arrest followed the recovery of a reported stolen vehicle on Broadhead Avenue at 4:00 pm on 1/23/24, originally reported by the Town of Bradford Police Department in Pennsylvania earlier that day.
Jamestown Police 2nd Platoon officers, responding to the stolen vehicle report, located Wofford in a nearby residence. The vehicle, reported stolen by Bradford PD, led officers to Wofford, wanted for the alleged larceny. Wofford was taken into custody without incident and is now held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The charges include Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and a Fugitive from Justice charge based on a warrant issued in Pennsylvania. Wofford awaits legal proceedings at Jamestown City Jail.
