(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop on N Main St on 2/8/24 led to the arrest of two individuals on bench warrants and narcotics possession.
Jamestown, NY – A routine traffic stop on N Main St on 2/8/24 led to the arrest of two individuals, 64-year-old Carl J. Yanik and 58-year-old Tyrone L. Harrison, both residents of Kennedy and Jamestown, respectively. The Jamestown Police Department’s Violence Interdiction Unit conducted the stop at 10:36 PM, uncovering active bench warrants for Harrison. Subsequent searches revealed narcotics in their possession.
On February 8, 2024, Jamestown PD’s Violence Interdiction Unit apprehended Tyrone L. Harrison during a traffic stop, discovering active bench warrants. A vehicle search exposed a quantity of Fentanyl in Harrison’s possession, while the driver, Carl J. Yanik Jr, was found with cocaine, Buprenorphine, and Naloxone Sublingual Films. Yanik faces charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, uninspected motor vehicle, and inadequate plate lamps. Harrison is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Both were taken to Jamestown City Jail, with Harrison held pending arraignment and Yanik released on an appearance ticket.
