(WNY News Now) – In a late-night response to a domestic incident on Feb. 28, 2024, Jamestown police arrested an 18-year-old Jamestown resident on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd and 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree.

At 9:22 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd platoon, K-9 Unit, and Violence Interdiction Unit were dispatched to a north side residence. There, they encountered Raymond M. Medina leaving a location covered by a valid order of protection. Upon contact, Medina fled on foot, prompting a perimeter search. K-9 Grimm successfully tracked and apprehended Medina, who was found concealing himself with over 3 ounces of methamphetamine. The suspect was taken into custody and is currently held at the Jamestown City Jail, awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
