(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – On March 8, 2024 at 9:24 pm, a Jamestown resident  was apprehended at UPMC on charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

Responding to a suspicious situation, second-platoon officers discovered Elijah T McBride, 21, allegedly allowing a 1-year-old to ingest marijuana. While the child received treatment at the hospital, McBride prematurely removed the child, exposing them to potential harm.

After a brief absence, he returned to the hospital. McBride was swiftly taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. Held pending arraignment, he faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child in Jamestown City Court.
