(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, at approximately 3:43 P.M., as officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at Harrison Street and Townsend Street.

Upon arrival, authorities found Stephanie Lessun, a 35-year-old resident of Warners, struck by a vehicle. Lessun was rushed to Upstate Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The driver involved in the collision cooperated with authorities and remained at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is currently active and ongoing.
