(WNY News Now) – Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service (NWS) Buffalo NY has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, effective from April 12 at 11 PM EDT until April 13 at 2 PM EDT, warning of snow accumulations ranging from 4 to 8 inches and gusty winds up to 50 mph.

The advisory covers Southern Erie and Wyoming counties and the western Southern Tier. Snowfall, heaviest in areas inland from Lake Erie, poses significant travel challenges with snow-covered roads and limited visibility. Gusty winds increase the risk of downed tree branches, further complicating travel. Residents are urged to exercise caution while driving and report snow conditions through the NWS website or social media channels. Stay updated on road conditions and heed travel advisories. The NWS Buffalo NY issues this advisory to ensure public safety during the impending winter weather conditions.
