JAMESTOWN, NY – April 15, 2024 – The City of Jamestown Department of Development announces the intent to apply for Round 8 of the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) Restore NY Communities Initiative grant that will address the vacant properties of Prendergast Landing, with 9,180 square feet, located at 106-108 Fairmount Avenue, Jamestown, New York and Furniture Mart Redevelopment, with 172,125 square feet, located at 111 W. 2nd Street, Jamestown, New York. The City of Jamestown’s letter of intent was sent to ESDC on March 25, 2024. The ESDC application deadline for Round 8 is May 22, 2024.
The Restore NY Communities Initiative grant provides New York State Cities, Towns, and Villages provides municipalities with potential funding in an effort to revitalize commercial and residential properties and encourages community development and neighborhood growth via redevelopment of vacant, condemned, or abandoned buildings.
