BUFFALO, N.Y. – A 42year-old resident of Jamestown, NY, has been sentenced to time served (56 months) for possession with intent to distribute over five grams of methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced yesterday.

Joshua Doud, 42, was convicted following an investigation that involved four controlled purchases of methamphetamine between February and May 2019. Three of these transactions occurred at Doud’s residence in Jamestown.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who prosecuted the case, highlighted the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies in bringing Doud to justice. The operation was part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative, which focuses on identifying, disrupting, and dismantling high-level criminal organizations through a collaborative, intelligence-driven approach.

The investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff James Quattrone; the Jamestown Police Department, under Chief Timothy Jackson; and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), overseen by Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the New York Field Division.
