Dunkirk, NY (June 7, 2024) — In a significant crackdown on drug-related activities, law enforcement agencies executed a major search warrant at 178 W. 2nd St., Lower Apartment, resulting in the arrest of Fernando Martinez Jr., 43, of Dunkirk. This marks the second raid at this location within six months.

On June 7, 2024, at approximately 9:21 PM, narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and City of Jamestown Police Department converged on the residence. The Dunkirk Police SRT made entry after observing Martinez leaving the premises, subsequently detaining him.

The search yielded a substantial haul of illicit substances, including 7.5 ounces of methamphetamine, 3.2 ounces of crack cocaine, 28.68 grams of cocaine, and 32.24 grams of fentanyl. Additionally, investigators confiscated scales, packaging materials indicative of narcotics distribution, and $396 in cash. Martinez faces multiple charges, including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree. He was transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and is set to be arraigned in Dunkirk City Court.
