Officers Seize Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Pills Following Chase
On the night of June 14, 2024, Jamestown police apprehended a suspect following a high-speed vehicle pursuit through the city, uncovering a significant cache of drugs.
At approximately 9:36 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon attempted a routine traffic stop near Newland Avenue and Myrtle Street. The driver, later identified as 47-year-old Renne L. Wolfe, failed to comply, igniting a chase through the city. The pursuit ended at a dead-end in the Town of Ellicott, where Wolfe abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Officers swiftly detained her without further incident.
Upon searching Wolfe’s vehicle, police discovered 18 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of cocaine, numerous Acetaminophen Hydrocodone Bitartrate pills, Amphetamine Dextroamphetamine pills, a digital scale, and packaging materials. Wolfe, who had an outstanding felony warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, now faces multiple charges. These include Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd, 5th, and 7th degrees, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, Unlawful Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, Resisting Arrest, and numerous traffic citations.
Wolfe is currently held in Jamestown City Jail, pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
