A routine visitation turned violent at Cattaraugus County Jail as an inmate attacked his girlfriend, leading to serious charges.

On June 21, 2024, at 8:00 AM, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported an assault incident in the Village of Little Valley. Donte Weakfall-Wright, a 19-year-old inmate from Olean, NY, was arrested following an altercation during a visitation session at the Cattaraugus County Jail.

The incident occurred while Weakfall-Wright was visiting with his girlfriend. According to the investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office, Weakfall-Wright became agitated and assaulted his girlfriend, striking her multiple times in the head and face with a closed fist. Jail medical staff provided immediate medical attention to the victim before she was transported to Olean General Hospital. Fortunately, her injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Weakfall-Wright remains in custody at the Cattaraugus County Jail and has been charged with second-degree assault, a felony offense. He is currently awaiting arraignment in the Village of Little Valley court by Judge Wrona.
