(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County – The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, now rebranded as CHQ Chamber, has unveiled a fresh name, logo, and color scheme. Daniel J. Heitzenrater, President and CEO of CHQ Chamber, highlighted that this change aims to better represent their work and the communities they serve across the county.
“Ever since I started at the Chamber three years ago, people asked, ‘Which Chamber of Commerce do you work for? Jamestown, Dunkirk, or Chautauqua County?’ We are one Chamber of Commerce,” Heitzenrater stated. “Throughout our more than two-decade history we have represented and provided services and programs for businesses countywide. This new name and logo bring that integration to the forefront.”
Board Chair Heather Brown noted the Chamber’s upcoming 25th anniversary as a pivotal moment for re-evaluation. “The time was right to assess where we have been and where we are headed. Our strategic planning process last year guided us toward this exciting refresh and our future goals.”
The strategic plan’s key directions include fostering collaborative relationships to boost economic activity, unifying the Chamber with a consistent brand, and clarifying their role and services. The Chamber Board also adopted new mission and vision statements to reflect their collaborative nature and countywide support. The mission is to “build vital connections, provide professional resources, and champion local businesses in Chautauqua County,” while the vision emphasizes being a crucial partner in achieving economic growth and resilience.
The rebranding process involved collaboration with Mr. Smith Agency from Buffalo, focusing on the Chamber’s values and goals. Rob Dimmer, Founder and Principal of Mr. Smith Agency, shared that the new logo, centered on water, connections, and community pillars, captures CHQ Chamber’s collaborative spirit and dynamic nature.
CHQ Chamber celebrated the new brand launch at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, marking a new chapter in their journey to support and unite the business community across Chautauqua County.
