(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A 60-year-old Jamestown man faces charges of harassment and criminal contempt following a domestic dispute on July 25, 2024.

On July 25, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, Jamestown Police responded to an ongoing domestic dispute at a Southside address. Officers from the Second Platoon arrived to find the situation escalating and were able to separate the involved parties without further incident.

During their investigation, Douglas E. Martin, 60, allegedly made threatening remarks, stating he would recruit individuals to return and physically assault the victim. This threat was made in the presence of officers. At the time, Martin was already subject to a valid restraining order against him.

Given these verbal threats and the existing order of protection, Martin was arrested on charges of Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment.
