(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK — The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s Master Gardener Program is excited to announce that the Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association (CCBA) will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 PM at the Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Avenue, Jamestown, NY.

This month’s focus will be on seasonal beekeeping activities, including when and if to harvest honey, preparing for winter, and mite treatment strategies. Experienced beekeepers will share valuable insights and best practices to help both novice and seasoned beekeepers succeed.

The CCBA meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. You don’t need to be a beekeeper to attend; all are welcome to join and learn.

The Master Gardener Program is one of many initiatives offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County (CCE-Chautauqua). CCE-Chautauqua operates as a subordinate governmental agency with an educational mission approved by Cornell University, functioning under a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. It forms part of the national cooperative extension system, a collaboration between County, State, and Federal governments. Governed by an elected Board of Directors with oversight from Cornell, each association addresses local, state, and national goals.
