On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the defendant fatally shot two people and seriously injured another person with illegal handguns. The crime occurred inside of an apartment on the 700 block of Parker Boulevard in the Town of Tonawanda. Two of the victims, Antoyn Williams, 51, of Town of Tonawanda and Kristina Perez, 36, of Hinsdale, were pronounced dead at the scene. The third victim, a 55-year-old male, was taken to ECMC where he was treated for injuries.

In May 2024, Woods pleaded guilty to two counts of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felonies), one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Assault in the First Degree (Class “B” violent felonies) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to all counts in the indictment ahead of jury selection for his trial, which was scheduled to begin the following week.

“This defendant was only 18 years old when he intentionally murdered his mother’s ex-boyfriend over a disagreement about her property. Sadly, another life was tragically ended, and a third person was injured by gunfire in this vicious attack. I hope that the family and friends of Antoyn Williams and Kristina Perez as well as the surviving victim feel that justice has been served by this defendant pleading guilty to all charges and being sentenced to a significant term of incarceration,” said Acting DA Mike Keane.

Acting DA Keane commends Captain Bill Krier, Detective Mark Scranton and Detective Frank Dirienzo of the Town of Tonawanda Police Department for their work in this investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Eugene T. Partridge, III of the Major Crimes Bureau and Chief Gary W. Hackbush of the Homicide Bureau.
