(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk – Dunkirk’s Music at the Point continues its summer tradition with an electrifying performance by DTO, promising an unforgettable evening at Point Gratiot Park.
The City of Dunkirk is set to host the sixth week of its Music at the Point Sunset Concert Series on Wednesday, August 21, featuring the dynamic band DTO. The event, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the picturesque Point Gratiot Park, is proudly sponsored by Southern Tier Environments for Living, Inc. (STEL), Lawley Insurance, and DFT Communications.
DTO, known for their unique renditions of hits spanning the last 60 years, will bring a diverse mix of music that resonates with audiences of all ages. The band, comprising Roger Chagnon III (lead vocals, guitar, bass), Brian Hornbuckle (keyboards), Jonathan Muck (drums, percussion, vocals), Leslie Wille (vocals), and Chris Tiberio (bass, guitar, vocals), is set to deliver a performance that blends familiarity with their distinct musical flair.
In addition to the live music, attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, snacks, and refreshments to fully enjoy the event’s laid-back atmosphere. The stunning sunsets over Lake Erie will serve as the perfect backdrop for an evening of great music and community spirit.
To enhance the experience, several local eateries have partnered with the city to offer special Wednesday dinner packs, available for pickup and, in some cases, delivery directly to the park. Participating restaurants include Demetri’s on the Lake, House of Birria, Lena’s Pizza, Lil Ginger’s Deli, Mary’s Deli, Off The Hook, P*Dubs, Pizza Village, Spike Dailey’s Irish Pub, Taqueria Mexicana at the Point, and The Spot on the Lake. The full menu can be accessed on the Dunkirk Festivals Facebook page and the city’s website.
A special thanks is extended to Roger Gloss of Atlas Comfort Cabins/Lawn Mowing/Enviro-Kleen Services for donating the use of a portable toilet near the music pavilion, ensuring the comfort and convenience of all attendees.
Looking ahead, the Music at the Point series will feature performances by Furious George on August 28 and Bill Ward on September 4, the latter serving as a make-up day.
