On the night of August 19th, 2024, a concerned citizen’s report of reckless driving on South Transit Road led to a major arrest by Niagara County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) deputies. At approximately 10:18 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop in the area of 120 South Transit Street, City of Lockport, after observing the suspect vehicle committing multiple lane violations.
The driver, identified as 44-year-old Adam J. Miller of Buffalo, exhibited signs of impairment, prompting deputies to conduct a Driving While Impaired (DWI) investigation. Following the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Miller was arrested for Driving While Impaired by Drugs.
Further investigation revealed that Miller was in possession of suspected narcotics and illegal brass knuckles. A search of his vehicle uncovered a loaded handgun concealed in the center console. As a convicted felon, Miller is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
