(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, NY— As August draws to a close, the Buffalo Central Terminal invites you to enjoy one last summer Movie Night. On Wednesday, Aug. 28, join us for an evening of free family-friendly fun featuring Disney’s animated film “Wish.”
“As we say goodbye to summer, I’m thrilled to partner with the Central Terminal Restoration Corp., (Buffalo Common Council) Majority Leader and Ellicott District Council Member Leah Halton-Pope, and Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski to bring our annual movie night series to the historic Central Terminal for our final show of the season,” said state Assembly Majority Leader Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes. “Before the movie starts, we’ll have free, fun, family-friendly activities to experience and enjoy within your own community, and I look forward to seeing you there.”
On Aug. 28, gather with us at 495 Paderewski Drive, Buffalo, on the Central Terminal’s historic Lawn. Don’t forget to bring a blanket, lawn chair, and maybe even a picnic meal to the film. Events kick off at 5:20 p.m., with family-friendly activities including a bubble show, face painting, and caricatures. The movie starts at 6:30 p.m., and runs until 8:30 p.m.
The event is also sponsored by Rich Products Corp., Bank on Buffalo, Say Yes Buffalo, Kaleida Health, Catholic Health: Sisters of Mercy Hospital, the African American Cultural Center, the Stop the Violence Coalition, KeyBank, the OSC Charitable Foundation, and Erie County Medical Center.
The Movie Night wraps up the August events, but there’s something new and unique planned for September.
