(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – Two Jamestown women were apprehended for shoplifting a cart full of groceries from Tops Markets on Foote Avenue.
On August 24, 2024, around 5:39 PM, Jamestown Police responded to a report of a shoplifting incident at Tops Markets located at 738 Foote Avenue. Officers from the 2nd Platoon were dispatched to the scene and, while en route, spotted the two suspects involved.
Cassidy Spangler, 26, and Nicole Lavoice, 39, both residents of Jamestown, were observed exiting the store without paying for a cart full of groceries. The officers promptly apprehended the suspects and conducted further investigation, confirming the theft.
Spangler and Lavoice were arrested and charged with two counts of petit larceny. They were then transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where they were processed and released on appearance tickets. Both women are scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
