(WNY News Now) – Buffalo, NY — A major drug trafficking ring in Niagara Falls was dismantled as federal agents arrested four men in a series of coordinated raids, leading to significant drug and firearm seizures.

Federal authorities announced the arrest of four Niagara Falls men involved in an alleged drug trafficking operation. The defendants, identified as Paul Fields, 39, Edward Rollie, 49, Rashawn Salmon, 39, and Jermaine McQueen, 46, face serious charges following a series of raids executed on August 28, 2024.

Paul Fields and Edward Rollie have been charged with possession with intent to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine, alongside possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. These charges carry severe penalties, including a minimum of five years to life imprisonment and fines up to $5 million.

Rashawn Salmon and Jermaine McQueen face even steeper consequences, each charged with possession with intent to distribute over 400 grams of fentanyl. These charges include mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years, potentially extending to life, and fines up to $10 million. McQueen also faces an additional charge of firearm possession in connection to drug trafficking.

Law enforcement officers recovered substantial evidence during the raids, including 1.5 kilograms of fentanyl, over a kilogram of cocaine, three firearms, and $25,000 in cash. These operations were part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative, aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations.

The investigation involved collaboration between multiple agencies, including the FBI, Niagara Falls Police Department, Niagara County Sheriff’s Department, and others. U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross emphasized the significance of these arrests in disrupting dangerous drug networks in the region.

While these charges represent serious allegations, it is important to note that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
