(WNY News Now) – Olean, NY – On September 2, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection with a failure to register with the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Rodney S. Mosher, 52, a registered Level 3 sexually violent offender, was apprehended in the Town of Olean.
The arrest follows an investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau. Authorities allege that Mosher, who had recently moved from Pennsylvania, neglected to update his address with the registry as required by law. Mosher was subsequently arraigned at the Town of Portville Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Olean Town Court at a future date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
