(WNY News Now) – Salamanca – On August 30, 2024, Darby M. Monahan, 45, was arrested for burglary and related charges after being discovered inside a vacant home in Salamanca.
On August 30, 2024, at approximately 7:45 AM, deputies responded to a call about two males seen wandering around a vacant property at 4109 N State St, Salamanca, NY. Upon investigating, deputies found Darby M. Monahan, 45, hiding inside the vacant residence.
Monahan, a Salamanca resident, has been charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools. The arrest followed an investigation into the unauthorized entry into the unoccupied home. Monahan was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court in September. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
