(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – A tense SWAT standoff at 84 Victoria Ave in Jamestown ended in the arrest of two suspects linked to a previous drug investigation and shooting incident, as law enforcement unearthed more illicit substances and firearms.

On September 3, 2024, at 12:42 PM, Jamestown Police were dispatched to 84 Victoria Ave following a report of a burglary in progress. This residence had previously been the scene of a shooting on August 17, 2024, where a male victim was critically injured but is now expected to survive.

In the August search of the residence, officers discovered large quantities of narcotics, including methamphetamine, cocaine, crack, fentanyl, and a firearm. The suspects, Kylah Seiberg, 29, and Jensen Vazquez, 38, had fled at the time, leading to an ongoing investigation.

Two weeks later, Seiberg and Vazquez returned to the same location. While Seiberg was quickly detained by officers, Vazquez barricaded himself inside, armed with a firearm. A SWAT standoff ensued, involving both Jamestown and Chautauqua County SWAT teams.

Despite the use of chemical munitions, Vazquez refused to surrender. Eventually, Jamestown SWAT entered the residence under a search warrant and found Vazquez hiding in the attic, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

During the standoff, authorities uncovered an additional 65.3 grams of fentanyl near where Vazquez was hiding. Both suspects now face numerous drug and firearm charges, and they are being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The Jamestown Police Department is still investigating the August shooting and encourages anyone with information to contact their office or submit tips anonymously. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
