(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. — Stacey Beardsley, 38, of Jamestown, NY, was sentenced to two years of probation and 50 hours of community service for her involvement in a drug conspiracy, U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Between late 2018 and March 2020, Beardsley’s husband, Rocco Beardsley, was engaged in a significant drug trafficking operation involving heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances in the Jamestown area. Stacey Beardsley, who was aware of her husband’s activities, financially benefited from and actively assisted in concealing his operations.

During a May 2019 arrest of Rocco Beardsley, he contacted Stacey from jail, instructing her to retrieve items from Erie, PA, including drugs. Instead of reporting the request, Stacey Beardsley complied, leading to her arrest when law enforcement found methamphetamine and heroin in her vehicle. Additionally, in January 2020, Stacey Beardsley failed to report drug transactions occurring at their shared residence.

The case is part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative, which focuses on dismantling high-level criminal organizations. For more information on OCDETF, visit https://www.justice.gov/OCDETF.

The investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff James Quattrone, the Jamestown Police Department under Chief Timothy Jackson, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) led by Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III.
